Can I remove the malwares and spywares from my Windows without paying someone?
Have you ever wonder what cleanup tools did your IT service guy used to effectively removed the malwares and spywares from your computer?
Do you know that these cleanup tools are free and you don’t have to be a malware or spyware expert to use it?
This post is about two of the most effective cleanup tools which I am using and even you can use it, yes you, to remove the malwares and spywares in your Windows computer.
I have been providing IT service support to companies and individuals since 1999. I deal mainly with Microsoft Windows computer. In the course of my work, I have sourced, evaluated and tested several cleanup tools for viruses, malwares and spywares. Over the years, I used several tools that allows me to effectively remove some nasty viruses, malwares and spywares. I am going to share with you some of these secret tools which I used for my business to charge my client for the services rendered.
Malwares are commonly injected into your computer through websites using Malvertising (from “malicious advertising”) which is a technique that uses online advertising to spread malware. It can also come through installing of free software applications. So be careful, not all free software applications are “free”, you may end up paying for the mistake.
These are not the ultimate tools but good enough to get most of the malwares and spywares job done. The removal of some nasty and sticky viruses, malwarebytes, and spywares can be technical and usually not for lay-user to try. I uses several techniques to remove it, however, these bugs, usually the virus, have became complex over the years and the quickest way is to save all your data and format the hard disk, a tedious but effective way. This post is about malwares and spywares, so, I’m not going to cover the virus issue because it’ll be technical and a wide topic.
The two free tools are Malwarebytes and CCleaner:
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is one of the popular cleanup tool when other antivirus products fail. Over the years, it continued to remain a very effective cleanup tool.
At the end of the installation, do uncheck “Enable free trial of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium”, otherwise, you’ll be installing the trial version of the paid or Premium version which will expire after certain number of days and you’ll be asked to purchase.
How to download, install and use MalwareBytes?
CCleaner is a Windows junk and temporary file cleaning and optimizing tool. I use this cleanup tool right after the Malwarebytes scanned and removal of malwares.
There are two features which you will frequently use in the CCleaner, which is Cleaner and Registry. The procedures for both features would be to click on “Analyze” first then “Run Cleaner” once. Do save a copy of the registry when prompted while cleaning up the registry.
How to download, install and use CCleaner?
If the malware or spyware still unable to be removed, I would usually download and install the trial version of the Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Complete. After the installation, simply run the scan and follow the instructions given.
When prompted to enter your keycode during the installation, copy and paste this code: SAA5-FIRE-C3BD-C89A-A438
If everything else fails, I think it is time to call in the expert or a tech support person who is familiar with the remover of virus, malwares and spywares.
